GABLER Thermoform at the Chinaplas 2019.

TRENDSETTER IN PACKAGING

Sustainability and Circular Economy were the hot topics at the Chinaplas 2019

The International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition, CHINAPLAS, took place in China from May 21 to 24 for the 33rd time. The world’s leading trade fair, that attracts visitors and exhibitors from all over the world, inspired with innovative technologies and solutions on over 250,000 sqm of exhibition space. Therefore, CHINAPLAS once again lived up to its reputation as trendsetter for the entire packaging industry.

This is also reflected in number of visitors: in 4 days, more than 160,000 people from over 150 countries came to the China Import & Export Fair Complex. EUROMAP, the European Association of Plastics and Rubber Machinery Manufacturers and official sponsor, is most likely not the only one who will be satisfied with this result.

Greater sustainbility on the horizon

In addition to technological highlights, the 3,500 exhibitors scored above all with innovative solutions in sustainability. Intelligent, eco-friendly and lightweight – that’s what machines and solutions of the future should be like. A claim that fits perfectly with GABLER Thermoform. Strongly supporting Circular Economy, we offer various additional components that granulate skeleton waste to re-use in the production process, pre-heating tools for optimal usage of resources, and much more .

Carsten Stöver, Sales Director of GABLER Thermoform, explains: “We are convinced that increasing efficiency in production and sustainability are not mutually exclusive. Quite the contrary, they complement each other perfectly. Recycling and degradable materials are just two of many topics that we are currently working on in this regard.”

Boosting efficiency with GABLER automation

In line with this, visitors to the GABLER booth had the possibility to find out more about the next generation of trim-in-place machines, automation solutions, and seek advice. With an increased output rate of up to 50 percent, trim-in-place machines such as our M100 are already empowering a new age in tilt-bed technology. And we are working constantly on further innovations.

Carsten Stöver sums up: “We had a successful fair that offered not only interesting discussions, but also made the progress in our industry tangible. We are looking forward to the next CHINAPLAS!”
